Our Alumni: Carriers of a Glorious Legacy

Birla Vidya Mandir takes great pride in its long tradition of guiding young minds who have gone on to succeed in many different fields around the world. From education, defence, literature, photography, and cinema to art and fashion, our alumni have made their mark with hard work and dedication.

One of the most famous names is Jim Corbett, the well‑known conservationist and naturalist, who studied at Oak Openings High School, the earlier institution on our campus. His courage and love for nature continue to inspire people everywhere.

Another respected name is Anil Sadgopal, winner of the Jamnalal Bajaj Award, known for his important work in education and social service. The school also proudly remembers Lt. General J.S. Ahluwalia (PVSM), who served the nation as a true soldier.

Our alumni have also shone in the world of art and creativity. Amit Madheshiya, a brilliant photographer, created history by becoming the youngest to win the Sony World Photography Award twice. The film industry too has felt the influence of our alumni through the acting careers of Danny Denzongpa and Sushant Singh.

The world of literature has been enriched by Ashok Pande, a respected author and translator, who has introduced readers to valuable works from around the globe. In the field of fashion, Mukesh Gupta and Pankaj Bansal have built inspiring careers, showing creativity and innovation nurtured at school.

From conservation and education to the military, arts, cinema, literature, and fashion, the outstanding work of our alumni proves the strong values taught at Birla Vidya Mandir. Their journeys continue to guide and motivate our current students to dream big, work hard, and reach excellence in whatever path they choose.

Every year, Birla Old Boys Society (BOBS) awards several scholarships to outstanding students across academics, sports, and co-curricular activities, recognizing consistent performance and unique talent. These scholarships fuel ambition and set high standards for personal achievement throughout campus life.
